Rev. Paula Lawrence is a New Thought Minister, “A Course In Miracles”* student and facilitator. She is an accomplished public speaker with several years of experience conducting workshops and classes on various spiritual and metaphysical topics.
While teaching at Macomb Community College, she served on the College’s Speakers Bureau, speaking at local businesses, hospitals, schools and senior homes. Paula believes that if she can help people open their hearts and minds to the awareness that everyone uniquely contributes to life, and that all are worthy of love and respect, then they too can experience the joy and peace of God intended for all of creation.
Rev. Paula formed The Gathering Spiritual Center because she is devoted to helping people realize their true potential and identity as a child of God. Her spiritual journey began when she was guided to the teachings of A Course In Miracles and her studies of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. The relationship between these studies served as her inspiration to help bring awareness to how our thoughts create our reality.
Through her speaking and teaching, Rev. Paula’s passion is to inspire awareness, understanding, love and compassion, and to ultimately guide others down a path to unity and inclusiveness. Paula is a gifted healer who leads with her heart. She is a spiritual counselor, Master Certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming**, and a Reiki Master. Paula has completed all 8 levels of Esoteric Healing***. She is certified to teach “The Seven Keys to Understanding the Bible” from the Semitic/Near Eastern customs and culture.
Rev. Paula is eternally grateful for her many gifts, and she has devoted her life to being a vessel for the Holy Spirit to work through and enable her to be a clear channel of His/Her love and wisdom. Rev. Paula continues her mission to help illuminate a way of thinking, loving self, others and the world through new eyes.
*A Course In Miracles (ACIM) is a spiritual psychological path to remembering our oneness with God, allowing our true identity to be recognized. A non-dualistic teaching which states that Love is all there is and Love has no opposite.
The Course was received by Helen Schumann, a Colombian University psychologist, as an inner dictation, which began, “ This is a course in miracles, please take notes.” The scribing of the course took about seven years, The author reveals himself as Jesus (the Christ). It first was published in 1976 by The Foundation for Inner Peace and is now translated into twenty- five languages.
A Course In Miracles is universal in application. It is not a religion. It is a teaching curriculum that consist of three books, a text, a workbook for students, and a manual for teachers. The Course offers us an understanding, a means to shift perception, and answers that lead to freedom. The course states that it is only one of many thousands of Spiritual paths that all lead to God in the end.
